Central Christian Church
exists to glorify God by reaching people for Jesus and growing them in the Holy Spirit, both locally and globally, so that His kingdom may expand. We are a non-denominational New Testament Church. We would use the words "progressive conservative" to describe the heart and personality of Central Christian Church. We are conservative with the message of Scripture, yet we are progressive with the methods used to communicate the wonderful message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We invite you to look around our website to become better acquainted with us. We hope that you will see that we value the teachings of God's word for faith and practice. We would also like to invite you to visit us on Sunday morning. We believe you will find the Spirit of the living God moving and working in the hearts and lives of the people of Central. If you have any questions, please e-mail us or give us a call. We would love to hear from you.
We have an opportunity to serve some of the folks in the community that have been affected by the tornados of April 9th, 2015. We will be receiving pre-fabricated sheds from International Disaster Emergency Services (I.D.E.S.) for us to erect on different property sites. These sheds will serve as storage space for those that have lost structures to house what valuables they still have.
Saturday, April 25th all volunteers possible should show up. We will meet at 8:00am at 1602 McNeal Rd in Kirkland. There is a large heated machine shed there for us to assemble the sheds out of the elements. The sheds will then be distributed in several different rural locations with some along Irene Rd and some closer to Rochelle. Kirkland Fire Dept is helping to identify and locate the most needful places. There should be plenty of food and water so don't bother with a sack lunch unless you wish to do so. Please join us!
If you are able and willing to help out please contact our missions team leader, Dan Lemmons or 815-494-9213. You can also contact the Church office at 815-399-6767.
Follow us on Facebook for ongoing updates on this and other opportunities to serve as well as other things going on at CCC.
On Saturday, May 2 from 8:30 a.m. till noon we will be cleaning out our winter clutter, trimming shrubs, cleaning flower beds along with distributing and raking out new mulch. Come equipped with your favorite rake, shovel, basket, blanket and wheel barrow. This is a perfect opportunity to fellowship with others in our church family. There will be something that everyone can do or help with. Refreshments will be provided! Join us, it’ll be fun!
